Student are required to work in your group to complete this group project. In this course, you are given three group project, where you are required to do only two of them. Discuss with your team mates and decided which best two group project you wish to do. Below is the group project task description:
Group Project 1: E-Commerce in Tanjong Malim Initiative
Description: Tanjong Malim is an expanding community in Perak with mix of government servant, private and local. There are burst of business setting up companies catering to the people of Tanjong Malim, especially, UPSI's student community. There is a strong interest to expand the business by introducing new business model which use online business to reach a wider customers. Currently, there are no e-commerce initiative carry out in Tanjong Malim and the gap need to be address immediately in order for these business to survice in long term.
Task: Your team are required to introduce an e-commerce initiative towards the business community in Tanjong Malim. Please chose a suitable web 2.0 application that you team thinks can be use to promote and sell products from the companies in Tanjong Malim. You team will do a business environment study of the e-commerce prospect in Tanjong Malim, before selecting a one or few companies to embark in this project. You team are expected to show that the e-commerce had the potential for the business to sustain their business. At the end of the semester your team need to give presentation on your project and make your report of not more than 3000 words using wiki.
Group Project 2: Exploring Schools IT Management
Description: Your group are required to study the information systems (IS) available in school. This includes the study of schools IT infrastructure, software, procedures, data management, human factors which involved to makes IS an important elements in school system. The schools that you need to select should comes from the UPSI's Bitara School projects.
Task: Please select any one schools, and began contacting the person as in the list below for your school visit. Then you need to produce a report of not more than 3000 words which described all the IS activities in school. The list of schools are as below:

Group Project 3: Prototype Design of Simple Information System
Description: Your group is required to design prototype of a simple information system. It can be a web-based or a stand alone (PC-based) application. This project requires your group to gather information from user, translate it into a coding or you can find any available open-source application that can fit to the user requirement, do the documentation and delivers the results.
Task:
Find a solution to a problem, i.e. Student CGPA system, Club/association registration system etc
Get the user requirements and translate it to the development of the application
